Nicholas Ivins Art & Illustration

Ask me anything   About   NicholasIvins.com   Facebook

Hello, and welcome! My name is Nicholas Ivins and I am an award-winning artist, illustrator, and graphic designer based in Southern California. I also do comics, but don’t tell anyone. I’ve been creating art since before I had the ability to form complete sentences (which I still have trouble with), and have made a valiant and misguided attempt to turn it into a career ever since.

My comic-inspired art and illustration has been featured in publications, events, and venues all across the country. I’m a visual storyteller and strive to create images that are bold and colorful, yet emotive and nuanced in their exploration of ideas. I enjoy exploring a wide range of subject matter, including Day of the Dead, vampires, animals, and more, all from an offbeat and irreverent viewpoint. Through art I want to communicate my twisted perspective on the world, and whenever possible, to weird people out. I apologize in advance.

Please feel free to contact me with any inquiries or questions. Or if you have anything else you’d like to say, I’m all ears. And a few other organs, too. That’s not a dirty joke. Just a bad one.

A companion to the “Muerta” one I did several years ago, this one is equal parts artistic exploration and transparent cash grab. Just kidding …mostly! “Muerta” is by far the most popular piece I sell, and it seemed not only logical from a business standpoint to craft another one to capitalize on that popularity, but a fun exercise and one of those poetic “full circle” things. You know, circles?
